Your Snow Isn’t White - Fix It Fast In Lightroom

Snow should look crisp and clean — but in many photos it ends up looking gray, dull, or slightly tinted.

In this quick Lightroom tip, I show you a simple trick that makes correcting snow much easier. The key step actually comes before the adjustment you might expect.

First, set Lightroom’s background to white so you have a true visual reference. Once you can clearly see how the snow compares, a simple luminance range mask plus a small adjustment to saturation and exposure brings the snow back to a natural, crisp white.

It’s fast, simple, and works beautifully on winter landscape photos. In this video you’ll learn:

  • The simple visual trick that reveals snow color casts instantly

  • How to use a Luminance Range Mask to target snow

  • The subtle adjustments that make snow look naturally white
