How We’ll Work Together

I keep this workshop small so every participant gets individual attention. You’re never fighting for space or wondering what to do next — you’re learning, experimenting, and making purposeful photographs. Throughout the workshop, you’ll experience:

You'll leave with both stronger images and a stronger vision.

Hands-On Field Instruction

I’m right there with you — helping refine compositions, identify better angles, judge wave timing, and dial in exposure

Guided Image Reviews

We look at your best frames together. You'll get actionable feedback that elevates your images and your intuition.

Approachable Photo Editing Sessions

We edit your photos together so you can confidently apply the techniques on your own. You’ll learn how to build mood without over-processing, bring out detail in surf, fog, cliffs, and skies, and shape coastal light in Lightroom, ON1, or your preferred editor.

Why The Oregon Coast?

The stretch of coastline we focus on is a dream for photographers:

  • Basalt cliffs that create perfect leading lines

  • Exploding surf that rewards anticipation and timing

  • Fog-filled forests ideal for atmospheric storytelling

  • Tide pools and rock formations that reveal endless compositions

  • Open beaches with reflections, patterns, and subtle details

Every stop offers multiple creative approaches — wide, intimate, dramatic, moody, abstract. This variety is what makes the Oregon Coast one of the finest outdoor classrooms anywhere.
