The Difference Between AI Match And AI Auto In ON1 Photo RAW

ON1

The Develop module in ON1 Photo RAW has two buttons to jump start your processing: AI Match and AI Auto. What’s the difference? In a nutshell:

  • AI Match: Sets the Tone & Color sliders to closely match the embedded JPEG preview in your RAW file

  • AI Auto: Sets the Tone & Color sliders based on the tones in your RAW photo

AI Match is quite useful when capturing images using one of the creative modes in your camera. There are also some situations where you will not have an AI Match button.
