Sometimes when you're working in ON1 Effects and applying presets, you’ll come across a filter with a name that doesn’t quite ring a bell—something that feels unfamiliar or oddly labeled. But here’s the thing: filters can be renamed. It’s easy to overlook, but a mysteriously named filter might actually be one you’ve used before, just saved with a custom name. Maybe it’s a Dynamic Contrast preset you tweaked weeks ago or a favorite Glow look with a personal touch. So don’t be too quick to dismiss it. Take a moment, open it up, and look at the settings—you might just rediscover an old favorite in disguise.
Also, if you find an oddly named Effects filter that you want to use separately from a preset - save it as a style! Styles are filter-specific and save the slider settings and any AI masks added.
