What Is ON1 Resize AI?
ON1 Resize AI is photo enlargement software - and it is impressive. ON1 has made industry leading upscaling software for decades, going back to one of their first products, Genuine Fractals. They know this business. And in this latest release they’ve supercharged the engine that enlarges the photos with artificial intelligence. The AI is very smart, identifies the different elements in your photo, and can actually add details as it upscales your image.
Why Would I Buy ON1 Resize AI?

The big, big change in Resize AI is the AI-powered enlargement algorithms. These new AI models replace the older Genuine Fractals model. The new Resize AI models analyze the different subjects and objects in your photos and understands the textures of each. Mountains, leaves, tree bark, grasses, human skin, etc. have different types of textures and the AI model scales them with different smarts.
Want more amazing? Resize AI can actually add details as it enlarges the photo, because the AI has deep knowledge of the different surfaces. You’ll see this in action in the video accompanying this article. In the screenshot below, the photo is enlarged by ~40% or so. The snow-capped mountains in the background got more detail. The grasses in the foreground got more detail. The tree bark and pine needles got more detail. The sky remained soft. Everything looks natural and balanced. And this was a one-click task. In a word - impressive!
