Leveling With Lens Corrections & Crop

Lens distortion can bend the horizon in our photos and the lens corrections panel in Lightroom is there to help. You can also activate the Crop tool at the same time. Why is this useful? You can correct distortion, level, and rotate all at the same time.

With the Lens Corrections panel open, activate the Crop tool with the keyboard shortcut ‘r’. If you need to, use the ‘o’ key to cycle through the crop overlays until you get to the grid. Now you have the same grid overlay in the Crop tool as well as the Lens Corrections panel. Easily move between distortion correction and rotation with the same grid overlay and you level your scene.
