The Refine Brush received a big update in Photo RAW 2023.5. The brush has more smarts and more options to create cleaner masks faster. Using the new Method option, you control the brush’s edge sensitivity, customizing it based on the mask you are building. Tailor it for fine details like hair or tree branches, hard edged boundaries, softer diffused boundaries, and anything in between.
You can also create object masks even faster with the new encircle mode. Just draw an outline around an object in your photo and let the Refine Brush make the mask for you. You can also do that multiple times and select many objects in your image.
