Merged Layers And Stamped Layers In ON1 Photo RAW
Merging and stamping layers both have their place in a layered workflow. I explain the differences in this video and talk about when and why you might use one over the others.
The short version:
Both stamping and merging combine multiple layers into a single composite layer.
Stamping layers is non-destructive. The layers used to create the composite layer are not destroyed and remain in the layer stack.
Merging layers is destructive. The layers used to create the composite layer are destroyed and deleted from the layer stack.
