Merged Layers And Stamped Layers In ON1 Photo RAW

Merging and stamping layers both have their place in a layered workflow. I explain the differences in this video and talk about when and why you might use one over the others.

The short version:

  • Both stamping and merging combine multiple layers into a single composite layer.

  • Stamping layers is non-destructive. The layers used to create the composite layer are not destroyed and remain in the layer stack.

  • Merging layers is destructive. The layers used to create the composite layer are destroyed and deleted from the layer stack.
