How To Setup Stability AI For ON1 Photo RAW

ON1 Photo RAW 2025 adds new Generative AI features for retouching and crop. AI features require more computing power and need a modern, dedicated GPU to work locally on your system. Older computers or those with integrated GPUs may not be up to the task. An alternative is to use the cloud-based AI models from Stability.ai directly within ON1 Photo RAW 2025. You can follow the steps below to create your Stability AI account and configure ON1 to use Stability AI for Generative Erase and Generative Crop.

Please note that Stability AI is not a free service. Read their pricing information to learn more. I also encourage you to read the Stability AI terms of service to understand how your images may be used by Stability.AI.

Create Your Stability.ai Account

To use Stability AI with ON1 Photo RAW, yo first need a Stability AI account.

  1. Go to stability.ai and click Get Started at the upper left

  2. Accept to terms of service (and I encourage you to read these)

  3. Click Login and link your Google or Discord account, or create a separate account using your email address.

You may be asked to verify your email account. If so, you’ll receive a verification email. Follow its instructions to verify your account.

Get Your Stability AI API Key

  1. Log in to your Stability AI account.

  2. Click on the API Keys menu.

  3. Click the copy icon for your API key.

Add The API Key To ON1 Photo RAW

  1. In ON1 Photo RAW, select a photo and click Edit to open it in the Edit module.

  2. Click the Retouch Tools group.

  3. Select the Generative Eraser tool in the toolbar.

  4. Click the Gear icon in the toolbar.

  5. Select Stability AI.

  6. Paste your API key into the Key box.

  7. Click the Gear icon again

That’s it! Now you can use the Stability AI cloud service with ON1’s Generative Erase and Generative Crop.
