Out Of My Element In Wildomar

A week or so ago I met up with some fellow Sony shooters in the San Diego area. The mission - photograph the wildflowers that bloom in mid to late March in Southern California. It was a very fun time. Another reminder to me that meeting up with other photographers is almost always a good thing.

It was also a style of shooting that was about as far out of my element as I can get. It was strangely awkward - I'm so used to leaving with wet feet. Not this time. Here are two of the photos from that outing. I tried to do something different (for me) by getting close and shooting with a shallow depth of field. Of course, I couldn't resist the wide shot.

I grabbed a little video from this outing as well. Watch for it on a future In The Field episode.
