From the archives! In the summer of 2017, I visited Jeju, South Korea. The island of Jeju has a load of landscape photography opportunities. One of the gems is the Unesco Heritage site Seongsan Ilchulbong, or “sunrise peak”. If you visit Jeju, don’t leave without a photo of Sunrise Peak.

I chose to photograph the sunrise at the base of the peak. See how I composed the scene in low light, so I was ready when the sun finally breached the horizon.
