Dog Beach
San Diego skies were torched by a series of incredible sunsets in early October 2016. I snatched this photo at Dog Beach in Del Mar... my first visit to this patch of coast. This is going to be hard to top. I grabbed some video footage while I was out there too. Watch for it on a future In The Field video.

Scott Davenport is a landscape photographer and photo educator and based in San Diego, California. He leads photo workshops, writes photo books, hosts podcasts, makes tutorial videos, and feels weird referring to himself in the 3rd person.
He also can't help getting his feet wet photographing at the beach.
With sunsets after 11pm and sunrise at 2am, a landscape photographer doesn’t get a lot of sleep.
