The Profile option in the Basic panel of Lightroom sets the initial interpretation of your RAW file. Most often I’m choosing a standard profile like Color or Landscape. However, there are many other profiles that deliver very different looks and moods for your images, all with a single click. I find the Artistic group of profiles in Lightroom intriguing and pleasing for certain landscape photos.
