I am packing up my gear today and heading to the Oregon. I am teaching two sold out photo workshops along one of my favorite stretches of coastline on earth. I cannot wait to return to capture these beautiful landscapes and share a few secrets of Oregon with my fellow photographers.

Some locations need a little time before they grow on you. Shore Acres is a location like that for me.
For my style of seascapes, I tend to want to be a sea level, interacting up close with the ocean. Shore Acres is not that type of location, and it challenged me.
Landscape photographers are used to dealing with the fickle nature of weather. I’m glad I didn’t leave Strawberry Hill. It had good photos to provide, in spite of the gray skies.
Landscape photography and mid-day don’t typically mix. The light is harsh. But when you’re at a location and won’t be returning anytime soon … you take the photos anyway.
