Kinkaku-Ji, Kyoto

Thick clouds and a light drizzle marked the day I visited Kinkaku-ji in Kyoto. Even in those conditions, the golden pavilion stands boldly against the forested backdrop. I gave the photo a kind of oil painting treatment with a few textures. It seemed to fit the mood of the day.
