In The Field: Why Fitness Is Important For Landscape Photographers #326

A part of landscape photography is getting yourself to beautiful locations. Travel is one aspect. Walking, hiking and climbing are another. Mesquite Dunes in Death Valley is an easy enough place to reach by car. Marching out across the dunes is a different story. Walking in soft, hilly sand is difficult!

Photo excursions can take a toll on your body, so staying in reasonable shape (no… I’m not a hallmark of fitness!) is important. I need to be sufficiently fit to hike and climb to the shots I want to get. After being sick for a few weeks, I need to re-establish my exercise habits. And I remind myself that in this week’s In The Field video.
