Hospitals Reef, La Jolla, California - In The Field #521

My camera and I can always count on La Jolla, California. Even when the skies are empty and the surf is dull, the coast line of La Jolla always has something to photograph. I visited a few beaches in the hour before sunrise, looking for those photo opportunities… and I found them at Hospitals Reef. Just a little hunting, a little perseverance, and I found a spot where the ocean was playful and mingling with the rocks on shore.

Why don’t I do this more often?

You can hear more thoughts about this outing on The Stop Down Photography Podcast Episode #95.
