The Cave at the Cove

Shark Fin Cove, California

I was in the San Francisco Bay Area this past week. I always try to dash over to the coast when I visit. I returned to Shark Fin Cove along Route 1 between Santa Cruz and Davenport (no relation). On this visit, I went down to the beach level. It's a simple hike, and chances are you'll have the cove to yourself.

I've also started work on a new book on post-processing. I have the outline done and hope to finish it in the next few months. I think I'll include how this shot was processed. Whaddya think?

Technical notes:
– Nikon D7000 w/ 18-200mm Nikkor lens
– Single exposure, 0.5s @ f/16, 100 ISO
– Processed in Aperture and onOne's Perfect Photo Suite
