Effective Aperture Workflow is Updated!!

It's finally done! The update to Effective Aperture Workflow is live on iTunes. It's been just about 1 year since I wrote the book. My photography has matured and my workflow has changed some, too. It is definitely time for a book update. The major updates to the book:

  • A new chapter all about sharing your photos
  • Squeezing more SEO using your photo metadata
  • Using custom metadata to track 3rd party plug-in usage and online shares
  • Even more step-by-step instructional video content

There's also many other tweaks and tips in areas like keywords and tracking workflow using smart albums.

The book is $6.99 on iTunes. With 60+ pages of content and 30+ minutes of video, I think this is a steal. Don't take my word for it. Read what others have said about Effective Aperture Workflow:

Best workflow book I’ve ever read. You can’t go wrong with this one.

A great way to get started quickly… well worth $7 to any new Aperture user.

I’ve been using Aperture since the beginning and this book still spread a bit more light on the subject
— Dio99, UK
A great how-to that was immediately useful.
— Shropshireboy, Australia
Couldn’t wait to download it…
— Wout, Netherlands

If you already own the book, this is a free update. The iBooks application will tell you there's an update to download.

If iBooks is not available in your country, you can purchase the purchase a PDF version instead. Please note there is no video content in the PDF and the intra-book bookmarks don't work. Other than that, it's the same exact book. All the text and images are identical. Think of the PDF as the "lite" version and the iBooks version as the director's cut.

What are your thoughts? Do you like the new book? Are there workflow hurdles you are struggling to overcome? Drop me a line or leave a comment.
