Broken Hill, Torrey Pines State Preserve
I spent this morning out before the sunrise at Torrey Pines. I didn't come away with exactly what I wanted, but close. The clouds were great, adding some nice color and texture to the background. But, they held their grip on the sky too tightly and didn't let the sun break through and light up Broken Hill.
It's the right time of year for this particular shot, too. The sun rises at camera left and would really light up the ripples and ridges of the land. I may have to go back tomorrow morning.
