Show Notes

I received many, many questions about artificial intelligence, or AI, last week after Sklum’s announcement of Luminar AI. Today’s episode is inspired by those questions. Rather than discuss this specific product, let’s instead take a step back and look at AI in photography at a higher level.

AI is clearly here to stay. And chances are, you are already using AI in your photography - even if you don’t realize it! As photographers, we can leverage AI as a tool to fuel our creativity. Photography has always been a combination of artistry and technology. The more we free ourselves from the mechanical parts of photography, the more time we can focus on creativity.

Scott Davenport

Scott Davenport is a landscape photographer and photo educator and based in San Diego, California. He leads photo workshops, writes photo books, hosts podcasts, makes tutorial videos, and feels weird referring to himself in the 3rd person.

He also can't help getting his feet wet photographing at the beach.
