In The Field: The Morning Advantage #240

I think every photographer has their favorite spots. The ones that are nearby. The ones we gravitate toward. One of mine is a set of criss-cross rocks in La Jolla. Although I’m on a west-facing coast, I prefer photographing this area at sunrise. Why? It’s calm. I have the place to myself. And sunrises can be just as beautiful as sunsets on the California coast.
