Flashback: Car Bodies, Julian, California

A few years ago I took my kids to the Eagle Mine in Julian, California. It used to be a working, thriving gold mine back in the day. We had fun touring the mining tunnels and panning for "gold." There were lots of old machines – well, machine parts, really – strewn about, the earth slowly reclaiming them.

I did a quick reprocessing of this photo after moving it into Lightroom from Aperture. A few years ago, I must have been saturation-happy... the reds of the rust were really over the top.
