Please Mr. Postman

Mailboxes, Ramona, California

So many days you passed me by ...
— The Marvelettes, Please Mr. Postman

The weekly theme for the photo challenge I help curate on Google+ is Loneliness / Togetherness. Returning from an early morning shoot last weekend, I drove by this grouping of aging mailboxes. Although they stand together, each is weathered, rusting, and crooked in one way or another. They feel lonely.

Photo and processing notes:

  • Nikon D7000, 11mm @ f/8, 1/160s
  • Initial white balance and exposure in Aperture
  • Final processing in OnOne Perfect Effects
