Portland Skyline

I was happy to catch the the boats at the end of this dock. The Portland rowing club was setting up for their morning outing. They'd lined up their oars on the dock and left for a few minutes. I don't know why, but that was the window I needed for this shot. A few minutes later and they were in the boats and headed down the river.

I did try a few other shots with the rowers moving back and forth on the dock. It didn't work out to my liking. The people were too ghosted – and there weren't enough of them to make a strong enough motion trail. Also, all that movement on the dock shook the boats more, too.
