Daibatsu, Kamakura, Japan

The peaceful Daibatsu (Great Buddha), watching over Kamakura, Japan. It's a magnificent statue ... monument, really. It's interesting how I want to describe Daibatsu as watching over Kamakura, having a peaceful gaze, although Buddha's eyes are closed.
