A Street In Macau

Senado Square, Macau

I spent all of 6 hours in Macau. I don't remember much. I barely remember getting there ... a ferry from Hong Kong was involved. it's a good thing I don't write travel books. :)

There's a vague recollection of a casino - the Grand Lisboa I believe. My wife is the gambler, I just bankroll it. We had lunch in a cafe being circled by the local working girls. I do remember us chuckling at that - they were almost like vultures circling around looking for their next kill.

I definitely remember Senado Square. I'd seen photos of it before visiting and was taken by the wavy black and white patterns in the cobblestone. That was the one stop I wanted to make. A very European feel, harking back to Portugal's dominance of the region.
