A Print Dimensions Calculator AppleScript for Aperture

Over the weekend, the ApertureExpert Joseph Linaschke did a live training on pixels per inch, dots per inch, and print dimensions. Joseph rarely disappoints and this presentation was in line with his clear and informative delivery. Personally demystified several things for me.

During the training, he presented some grids showing the varying print output dimensions one will get depending on the pixel dimensions of the source image. This screamed AppleScript to me, so I whipped up a quick script. You can download the Aperture Print Dimensions script straight away. When executed, you'll get output like this:

Scott Davenport

Scott Davenport is a landscape photographer and photo educator and based in San Diego, California. He leads photo workshops, writes photo books, hosts podcasts, makes tutorial videos, and feels weird referring to himself in the 3rd person.

He also can't help getting his feet wet photographing at the beach.
