Anza Borrego Scouting Shot
I recently made a drive out to the Salton Sea for some photos along the former resort towns along the shores of the man-made lake. Be on the lookout for an In The Field video on that trip soon. On my way back, I drove through the Anza Borrego desert and saw this stretch of the badlands.
The light is very harsh as I took the photo well after sunrise. It's a scouting shot. Picture the details and strata of the rock in the early morning light, bright oranges mixed with long, deep shadows. I want to get back out to this spot for a sunrise photo in the not too distant future.
