Show Notes
As a photo educator, I field a lot of photography questions. And I love questions - keep ‘em coming! Many of these questions are of the form “What is the best … ?”. Most of the time, these questions are about gear, software, or accessories. Rarely are the questions about advancing as a photographer, pushing your craft ahead. Gear can play a role in that - provided you think that way.
In today’s podcast, I want to challenge you to take a different approach when you think about a new camera, lens, bag, or software tool. Take a moment, reflect, and ask yourself what artistic problems are you facing? What barriers do you face? And how could gear help you clear those hurdles?
I’ll also share a few stories from my photo journey how this approach helped me keep my photography moving forward with the right tools, not just the latest kit to hit the street.
