Retouch Your Landscape Photos To Emphasize Your Story

If you enjoy posts like this, please support my work and support independent photography tutorials like this.

Nature is glorious, beautiful, wondrous… and sometimes a bit messy. Beyond the dust and sensor spots, how much of the landscape should you retouch? My approach is to remove any small distractions that don’t fundamentally change the scene and more importantly emphasize the story of the photo. Selectively retouch to focus your viewer’s attention on the subject and story of an image.
